Mary B. Whitson was the daughter of Harmon and Sarah Whitson. Born on 17 August 1854 in Montezuma, Parke County, Indiana, she was married to George Rogers Whitted, son of Enoch and Eliza Hise Whitted, on 18 January 1874 in Clinton, Vermillion County, Indiana. They had five children, three girls and two boys. She died 30 November 1917 at a hospital in nearby Terre Haute following complications suffered in a fall. She was buried in Riverside Cemetery in Clinton.
