Mary Whitson Whitted, was born in Montezuma, Indiana, just north of Clinton, on 17 August 1854, the daughter of Harmon and Sarah Whitson. She died in 1917 in Terre Haute, Indiana, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery in Clinton. Her gravestone is in a different part of the cemetery, not in the Whitted-Clark plot. Her husband, George Rogers Whitted, the oldest child of Enoch and Eliza Whitted, is buried in Riverside Cemetery also, but his gravestone was not located.
