Florence Morgan Whitted was the 8th child of Enoch and Eliza Hise Whitted of Clinton, Vermillion County, Indiana. He lived his whole life in Clinton and was a coal miner in the local mines. He married Mary Susan Ready Jane "Mollie" France in 1900 and they had six children. Florence died in 1871 and Mollie died a year later. They are buried together in Riverside Cemetery in Clinton.
