William Whitted and Cora Bess Hunt were married in Vermilliion County, Indiana, on 16 December 1880. William, born in 1857, was the son of Enoch Whitted and Eliza Hise. William and Cora had four children before Cora contracted tuberculosis and died in Marshall, Michigan. She was buried in Riverside Cemetery in Clinton.

William did not remarry and eventually moved to Louisiana and then Alabama where his son Reuben and his wife Ada were living. William died in Mobile, Alabama in 1945.
