Pablo Graupera, born near Barcelona, Spain, about 1768, arrived in the New Orleans area by 1799 when he married Marguerite Jardelat, daughter of Pierre Jardelat and Marie Songy dit Languedoc. Marguerite was born in 1781 at the Arkansas Post, up the Mississippi and Arkansas Rivers. They were married in the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans by Fr. Antonio de Sedella, a Spanish Capuchin friar who was the parish priest at the time.
Pablo and Marguerite had three children: Pauline, Ydelfonso and Josephine. Pauline married Celestino Gonzalez of Pensacola, Florida, and her daughter, Merced, married Thomas William Brent of Pensacola. Pablo and Marguerite died and were buried in New Orleans.
