Charles Clark Whitted was the sixth child of Enoch Whitted and Eliza Hise. Born 20 July 1867 in Vermillion County, probably in the rural area west of the town of Clinton, he never married. His death, on 20 March 1903, was due to a brain tumor. He was only 35. Charles was buried in Riverside Cemetery in Clinton in the family plot.
