Obituary of Mary "Mollie" Waterman Brent
1877-1941
Mary Waterman Warren, born in Pensacola in 1877, was the daughter of Andrew Fuller Warren and Fannie Clark Stearns. Her father came to Pensacola in the early 1870s and worked for the Pensacola Fish Company, later becoming a partner. He later established the Warren Fish Company with Fannie's brother, Silas Stearns. Mary had two sisters, Lucy P. and Fannie S. and a brother, William Stearns who died as an infant.
She married Thomas William Brent, Jr., the oldest son of Francis Celestino Brent and Mary Ella Shuttleworth of Pensacola. She died on 10 April 1941 in Pensacola and was buried at St. Michael's Cemetery. Thomas died in 1959 and is buried with Mary. The pallbearers at her funeral were all relatives of her husband Thomas.
