Mary Dorothy, daughter of Joseph Dundas Miller & Elizabeth Tomlinson, died 18 March 1860, in New Brighton, Cheshire (now Merseyside) across the river from Liverpool. She left her husband, William Gordon, with ten children, aged one to twelve. Mary Dorothy was 36. She was buried on 23 March in the churchyard of St. Michael in the Hamlet, in Toxteth Park, Liverpool.
