Petition of Esther Comy, 1676

Esther Harvey Comee, widow of David Comy of Concord. Esther, David’s 2d wife, was left with 4 children from David’s marriage with his first wife, Elizabeth, and two children from her marriage with David. David married Esther after Elizabeth died in 1671. The youngest child was less than six weeks. David was killed fighting the Indians in Sudbury during King Philip’s War on 21 April 1676, the day of the battle in Sudbury. Esther later married Samuel Parry in 1682 in Concord.
