Cora Emily and George Shuttleworth were born 27 December 1886 to Francis Celestino and Mary Ella Shuttleworth Brent in Pensacola, Florida. The baptism took place on 30 January 1887 and was recorded in Mary Ella's Brent family Bible. George's godparents were "Georgiana Kirk" and the "Vy Rev J.B. Baasen." Georgianna was the daughter of Dr. John Brosnahan and Isabella Eugenia Sierra and was Mary Ella's maternal aunt. Cora's godparents were "Viola E. Gonzalez" and the "Vy Rev J.B. Baasen." Viola was most likely the wife of Jasper Hoving Gonzalez, son of Celestino Gonzalez and Pauline Granpera and the uncle of Francis Celestino Brent. Rev. John B. Baasen served at St. Michael Church in Pensacola from 1882-1900.
