The F.C. Brent family home, 108 E. Romana St., Pensacola, early 1900s

This picture and those following were taken at the time of Catherine Brent's wedding to James Campbell Watson on November 11, 1903. Catherine was the second child of F.C. Mary Ella Brent. The wedding took place in the family home at 108 E. Romana St. The room above was decorated for the wedding and lit with electric lights. The Romana Street house was the F.C. Brent family home in the late 1800s and early 1900s until the family moved to the house on La Rua in 1908. This picture and the next four are courtesy of the University of West Florida, Special Collections Division and came from a folder on the Watson family of Pensacola.

This was probably the setting for the marriage ceremony.

The wedding gifts were arranged on tables for viewing.

Another room in the house decorated for the wedding.
