1810: Jarvis is indexed under Jervis Pierce in Ancestry.com. Next to Jarvis in the 1810 census is Abraham Darby, possibly the younger brother of Rhoda, Jarvis' wife. In 1810, Byfield Pierce, older brother of Jarvis, is also living in Craftsbury.

One source gives the county as White County (Ancestry.com database); another says Gallatin County (Illinois Census Returns, 1820, by Margaret Cross Norton). The township in the top half of the page is listed as North of West in Ancestry.com. The names on the bottom of the page are from the Fox River precinct, the area just east of Carmi; North of West township must have been somewhere near Carmi.
