Jefferson County Marriage Records, Volume 2, p.209
Jarvis Pearce Jr. and Sally Wilkerson were married June 12, 1821, in Jefferson County, Illinois. They had at least three children, Eliza, James, and Permelia. Children and grandchildren of Eliza and James are mentioned in the probate records for Jarvis Pierce Jr. Permelia is listed as his daughter in the 1850 census. Sally died sometime before Jarvis married a second time to Elewisa Hubbard Gatewood in 1845.
Sally may have been the daughter of John Wilkerson who is listed in the 1820 Jefferson County, Illinois, census.
A John Wilkerson married Elizabeth Allen Thomas in 1807 in Lebanon, Tennessee. She was his second wife. He was born in 1767 in Virginia. In May 1818 a group of families moved from Lebanon, Wilson County, Tennessee, to Moore's Prairie, Jefferson County, Illinois. Moore's Prairie is in the southeast corner of the county. John and Elizabeth both had children from their prior marriages. Together they had Elizabeth, Sallie, Jane, Mastin, Emily, Ransom, Martha and John Jr. This Sallie could be the Sally who married Jarvis Pierce Jr. (Source: Facts and Folks: A History of Jefferson County, Illinois.
