Copy of parish christening record for George Spurstow of Chester, Cheshire, England. 1717: George Son of Mr. John Spurstow merchant was baptized upon the tenth day of Feb. George's mother was Elizabeth Illidge. George married twice, first to Elizabeth who died in 1753, and then to Elizabeth Hayes (Heays) who died in 1778. Two of his grandchildren, Joseph Dundas Miller, son of Mary Spurstow Miller, and Elizabeth Tomlinson, daughter of Dorothy Spurstow Tomlinson, married each other and my line descends from them.
