William Brent, the grandson of Eleanor Darnell Carroll, died 15 December 1848 and is buried next to his second wife, Elizabeth Neale Brent who died on 29 March 1863 at the age of 63. William Brent's first wife, Catherine Walker Johnson Brent, is also buried in the cemetery. She died young, in July 1822, and William married Elizabeth Neale about three years later.

They are buried, along with many other Brents and Carrolls on land that had been the property of Eleanor Darnell Carroll, William's grandmother, next to St. John's Chapel, founded by William's uncle, Archbishop John Carroll.
