Burial of Brigitta/Bridget Trimingham, Fishlake, Yorkshire, England, 1605





Bridget, or Brigitta, Trimingham was the wife of John Trimingham of Fishlake, Yorkshire, and mother of John Trimingham of Bermuda who died in 1655. Bridget was buried January first, 1605, and was most likely buried in the churchyard at St. Cuthbert. Bridget was the mother of at least eight children, all sons. After her death her husband, John, remarried. Her son, John Trimingham, who went to Bermuda, named one of his daughters Bridget. This image is taken from a transcription of the parish records of Fishlake.
